Writing Me

Community, intentional living, creativity, that is the core and heart of Bigger Picture Blogs.  Every week we ask you to join us on this journey with Simple Moments,  Bigger Picture. Our community has come together to Help Joplin and Raise Breast Cancer Awareness  and we have inspired you creatively through Write Before Christmas.

Writing Me is a community writing project.

We well all work through the same prompt together. Learning about ourselves and each other.

Part I: Where I’m From

The first prompt was  Where I’m From a beautiful bit of prose that had been around the bloggy block a few times. It gave us a closer look at so many of you that we have come to know and love.

You can see our recap Where {YOUR} From here, or revisit the linky below:

Part II: In This Family Prose

Next we took a step back and we asked you to tell us about your family and create a In This Family Prose inspired by Sarah’s beautiful steps.

Part III: I am…

For Part III we again asked you to look inward with a poetic piece about you, and your life, dreams, and wishes.

I linked up but I’m working from an iPad in a hotel room and can’t figure out how to get the Writing Me button with this thing. So I’ll fix it and link back properly when I get back home on Sunday. Will comment on others’ work then too!

  21. Hello! Thanks for your fantastic article on picky eaters! This appeared on the Mamapedia site in Austin, TX. My husband and I have a business that supplies healthy, local made from scratch meals to our community. http://www.thestudiokitchen.com. We have just started supplying a local charter school with school lunches as well and our biggest challenge has been picky eaters and how the parents are empowering them. I had grand visions of revolutionizing the horrible school lunches that the public schools are serving by supplying parsnips, beet root, etc., etc. We thought the parents would be on board. We were wrong! We have gone back to hamburgers, chicken tenders, etc. (although they are made by hand and still much healthier than the food in public schools). Many families in our community have raised their kids on our food, we are a perfect solution (and affordable). The kids grow up eating a great variety of foods. I couldn’t find out where you are, Are you in Chicago? We need to link up with people who are promoting eating healthier, and would be interested in advertising with you if you are local. We do ship nationwide however (only in the winter months). Thanks. Laura B.
