Plant Bigger Picture Poetry ~ Featuring Adrienne

plant1

Our new theme for April is PLANT. Whether we’re celebrating the arrival of spring in the evidence of plants all around us, placing something in the ground so it can grow, planting ideas, or planting ourselves, in April we will spend time ruminating on the growth of great things from small beginnings.

Since April is National Poetry month we asked you to stretch yourself and try your hand at some everyday poetry.  {Don’t think you can? Hayacynth explains how everyone is an Everyday Poet}

Today we are featuring a snippet of Adrienne’s poem:

Simultaneously
caught in a trap and safe at home
stuck and free to go
guilty and no guiltier than anyone else…
I wander from room to room
discovering their ancestral treasures –
disinterested in the goings on –
detached,
yet the center of attention.
