Each Wednesday a thought, a word, or a moment will be shared and you will have the opportunity to capture the creativity with your lens and share it.

No need to worry about blogging it (unless you want to of course) or linking it up. All you have to do is Tweet it, facebook it, or Instagram it.

This week’s prompt is the word courage.

The definition of courage is : mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.

Some say that it takes courage to withstand the cold winds of winter. It takes courage to ask for help, or know when to do something completely on your own. It takes courage to step outside your comfort zone. And it most definitely takes courage to live boldly and create daily.

So let’s create the word courage by sharing it with others today. What does the word courage inspire you to do? What is your interpretation of courage?

This week’s prompt combines the art of music with photography.

Many musicians use photography as a means to let their audience know what an album is about. There are many famous album covers such as Linkin Park’s Metoroa, Abbey Road by the Beatles, Catch a Fire by Bob Marley and the Wailers, Nirvana’s Nevermind album, Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were here and Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin. These are  just a few artists that used photography to communicate what their album means visually. And even though album art is a dying art form, it still stimulates thousands of music lovers all over the world.

The merging of music and photography makes perfect sense, Ansel Adams was well on his way to becoming a serious concert pianist until he was captivated by the beauty of Yosemite and succumbed to the lure of photography.

So today what I want you to do is to turn on one of your favorite songs and listen to the lyrics carefully.

How does that song make you feel? Capture it.

What words in the song inspire you. Capture them.

What does the art on the album inspire you to do? Capture it.

Where does the music lead you? Capture it.

Why is the song one of your favorites? Capture the essence of it.

Capture Music with photography. It sounds so simple, but so hard to do. It is the perfect challenge that blends two mediums of creative arts. I hope you enjoy this prompt today and I look forward to seeing your inspired pictures.
