Celebrating April With POETRY!

plant1

Our new theme for April is PLANT. Whether we’re celebrating the arrival of spring in the evidence of plants all around us, placing something in the ground so it can grow, planting ideas, or planting ourselves, in April we will spend time ruminating on the growth of great things from small beginnings.

Apropos to that, our project for Mondays through the month of April is to share POETRY, and the art of conveying so much with just a little.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Be they sonnets, limericks, or rhymes

Rejuvenation Bigger Picture Moments ~ Featuring Lisa

The snow is still falling, but I KNOW spring is coming for it comes every year without fail. Its arrival might be delayed by a freak spring storm, but it will come and so … as we prepare for chirping birds, and the warm glow of sunshine let’s take this month and REJUVENATE our soul.

Rejuvenation is our theme for this month over here at Bigger Picture Blogs, and here’s a glimpse from one of last week’s Bigger Picture Moments .

From Lisa at Diapers, Coupons and Bills, Oh My, Life is What You Make It

It took a two-year-old in a t-shirt and princess snow boots to remind me that life is far too unpredictable (and far too short) for us to allow our circumstances to dictate the manner in which we experience it. In any situation, we see what we choose to see. With a little shift in attitude, our challenges can become our adventures, our struggles can become our gifts, and unexpected circumstances can become windows of opportunity.

Such a great message on finding peace in the unexpected.

What do you have for us this week for our March theme Rejuvenation!

As always, please link back to this post in your post and PLEASE VISIT AT LEAST the person linked before you! Creativity flourishes in community!

Scenes From My Weekend – Brook

Just like March my weekend started out like a lion.

From the moment my feet left the warm confines of my bed and hit the floor I was on the go. A “quick” trip with two little ones to Wal-Mart to grab a gift for the birthday party we were attending later that afternoon.

I continued my quest to be a fish during swim training.

Then off to the birthday party where the boys rolled in the foam pit of doom.

Finally a visit to work to take care of some unfinished business. By the time my behind hit the couch it was time for bed. Whew…

Which is why as the rain poured again on Sunday, washing away the last remnants of winter, we did absolutely nothing. I’m not ashamed to say that we stayed in our PJs all day, and I didn’t even shower. The lost hour made the day zoom like the speed of light and I just let it go, no worries or obligations. Darkness came later, but the rain continued washing the earth and the winter blahs from my brain. Spring is right around the corner…I can feel it.

Scenes from My Weekend

That was a glimpse of my weekend.

Got a few snapshots from your Saturday or Sunday? Did you do something fun? Did you catch a bit of rest?

For the month of March, Bigger Picture Blogs is offering a fun project every Monday: Show us scenes from YOUR weekend! As we slowly turn from winter to spring, this month we’re celebrating the theme: Rejuvenate! So rejuvenate your heart, rejuvenate your soul – pick up your pen, your camera, and your spirit!

And show us your weekend!
