Orange from last week’s pool of shots by Alita Jewels Treasures
Often just like writing, inspiration for a photo comes immediate and you simply must capture the moment. Other times picture taking is less inspired.
In the spirit of creativity that is being nourished here on this site and in your hearts, we’re bringing back Bigger Picture Captures.
Each Wednesday a thought, a word, or a moment will be shared and you will have the opportunity to capture the creativity with your lens and share it.
No need to worry about blogging it (unless you want to of course) or linking it up. All you have to do is Tweet it, facebook it, or Instagram it.
We know that a lot of you are participating in the P365 or P52 challenges. This is a little more creative inspiration to get your camera out and take a picture of something different.
Use #BPCaptures anywhere you are collecting your pictures, and get ready to CREATE!

Today’s prompt for Bigger Picture Captures is TRUTH.
It takes courage to show the world your true colors. It should be easy, but unfortunately it is not. Our society is so focused on shallowness and winning at all costs that simple human realities are tossed to the wayside. Today the prompt is truth. Being true to yourself means wearing no masks. The truth is layered like a cake in between sweet realities and glazed over expectations. A new mom reveals truth in the tired expression in her eyes. A student reveals truth in the stain ring of coffee on the table that he or she doesn’t have time to remove in between papers.
You can find truth simply by showing a person serving macaroni and cheese because the child refuses to eat anything else or you can show truth by exposing how many pairs of missing socks the washing machine has really devoured.
Truth is everywhere. It is in the lines around the eyes of a person who laughs hard and often. Truth can be found in a person’s surroundings or even in the town they reside in. Truth is present in the literature you read. And truth is where your weakness are hidden, but should be revealed so that we all may learn from each other.
How do you see truth in your life? How do you expose it and use it to your advantage? This might be a harder prompt, but pressing yourself to expose the truth will set you free.
How will you capture Truth Show us! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
