Often just like writing, inspiration for a photo comes immediate and you simply must capture the moment. Other times picture taking is less inspired.
In the spirit of creativity that is being nourished here on this site and in your hearts, we’re bringing back Bigger Picture Captures.
Each Wednesday a thought, a word, or a moment will be shared and you will have the opportunity to capture the creativity with your lens and share it.
No need to worry about blogging it (unless you want to of course) or linking it up. All you have to do is Tweet it, facebook it, or Instagram it.
We know that a lot of you are participating in the P365 or P52 challenges. This is a little more creative inspiration to get your camera out and take a picture of something different.
Use #BPCaptures anywhere you are collecting your pictures, and get ready to CREATE!
Today marks the first day of August. I barely believe it. Can you? July rushed off the dance floor of life in a hurry and we are left still warm from the bliss of it all. But summer doesn’t end in August, right? Last time I checked August was still a summer month, however everywhere I look back-to-school supplies are being promoted and acquaintances are longing for the crisp autumn nights that come once August has ended.
August is a beautiful month. In my opinion it should be savored, not rushed. But that might not be your thing. What does August mean to you?
That is our theme today. I want to know what August means to you. Does it mean long hot afternoons sitting on the dock of a lake or do you equate August with yellow number 2 pencils? Does your heart race at the sight of fiery sunsets of hot pink and burnt orange? Or do you long for the rainy days of late-summer where the grounds soak in the sweet tear-drops from heaven? Do you long to run your finger tips through corn fields full of tall mature corn stalks? Or do you fancy a trip to the mall to get back-to-school clothing for the youngsters?
August is all about savoring the last moments of summer before fall closes in.
And there are so many reasons to love this month.
What does the month of August mean to you? I can’t wait to see how you interpret it today.
